These are Indian deities or divine souls. Hindus pray to them. These are pure souls. When Universe started, these pure souls came on the ground as pure souls. With rebirth , they get bit impure and again rebirth, got more impure as they are here as human being looking like us now. Those souls have turned from ordered state to disordered state. They need to be purified like all us. I could be one of them.
So Laxmiji is like an ordinary women now, but we say that do so good karmas that you become like a divine soul from an ordinary soul.
