Souls original nature is to be happy, peaceful , loving, knowledge , purity, will power and bliss.
People are looking for happiness from material things like
If I achieve this, then
If I get this job, then
If I have a big house,
If I have BMW/ Mercedez etc, all material stuff.
Quality of life has improved at the external level but certainly not at the internal level. We attach ourselves to material stuff with a result EGO comes in, jealousy, hatred, etc. People thought that when they get all that external stuff, then they will be happy but they are not. Souls nature gets covered by ego, jealousy etc, so we have trouble getting to the happiness that is hidden somewhere at the bottom.
We are looking for happiness from outside stuff. We keep looking but we do not find it.
Clear the mess first to get to internal happiness.
